Tree of Life Personal Care Home is looking to add a Community & Marketing Liaison to their team:
Position Summary
The Community & Marketing Liaison will develop relationships with referral sources, residents and their families, as well as community organizations. Provides feedback and recommendations for program development and quality improvement initiatives. Develops and maintains excellent relationships with all stakeholders including residents, family members, staff and the community. This position is also responsible for planning and coordinating programs and activities to provide life-enriching ADL (Activities of Daily Living) events for residents and community. Strengthening community involvement through promotion of volunteerism among members of the community and residents.
Essential Functions
Be familiar with the needs of older adults and their families and offer solutions.
Support and build the brand of Tree of Life Personal Care Home, LLC.
Design and develop marketing strategies to build relationships in the community.
Represent Tree of Life Personal Care Home, LLC, at networking activities approved by the VP of Operations.
Develop and execute social media campaigns.
Backup to the Administrator in coordinating and scheduling family and/or potential resident tours.
Orients residents and/or family to home services, join them for lunch/dinner to get to know the resident.
Accurately generate required reports and documentation of marketing activity including weekly schedule, marketing action plan, activity log, etc.
Takes an active role in developing the marketing plan and budget with VP of Operations by assessing community needs, outlining marketing strategy/objectives, identifying major competitors and identifying specific marketing action items with measurable goals.
Plan and implement activities in the following categories: physical (exercise), social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, religious, service/volunteering, and special requests of the Residents.
Organize and facilitate a committee of Residents and community members to work on rewarding ADL activities and volunteer needs.
Assists in the development of new programs and services through ongoing assessment of activities the needs of residents.
Facilitate socialization among Residents.
Invite an/or remind Residents to participate in planned activities.
Promote activities in a way that piques Resident’s interest.
Chaperone activities outside the facility.
Conduct/lead activities as needed.
Train, support and instruct other staff members to conduct activities.
Complete the activity assessment for each Resident within one week after moving in. Update annually.
Provide input for the Resident assistance plan.
Plan, coordinate and help implement decoration of the facility for special events, seasons, and holidays.
Identify and requisition needed supplies for planned activities.
Coordinate food needs with the Kitchen for schedule activities.
Assist with planning and implementing marketing events that promote the facility to potential Residents and volunteers.
Identify areas that activity programs could benefit from volunteers.
Develop a monthly newsletter. Post and distribute to residents and families.
Arrange transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips.
Assist in serving meals and bussing tables during and after mealtimes, as needed.
Identify areas within the facility or activity program that could benefit from the support of volunteers.
Coordinate with outside agencies for in-house activities.
Identify and contact local organizations that could benefit from the talents of the Residents.
Work with Administrator to Develop policies and procedures for utilization of volunteers.
Recruit specific volunteers to meet facility needs.
Recruit Resident volunteers to meet the needs of the facility and other organizations in the community.
Responsible for the resident/volunteer recognition program.
Work with Administrator to train and supervise volunteers.
Establish and carry out a regular Resident/community volunteer recognition program.
Report on-the-job injuries to Administrator before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, Residents, families, and visitors.
Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to Residents, facility operations and personnel.
Promote facility in a positive way.
Attend mandatory in-services.
Responsible for the Resident Council and Food Committees.
The above requirements are representative of minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities. To perform this job successfully, the individual will possess the ability and aptitude to perform each duty proficiently.
Educational and Other Requirements
Associate degree in recreational therapy or similar degree preferred.
Prior marketing experience preferred.
Experience in activities planning with older adults is preferred.
Experience and interest in working with older adults.
Experience in volunteering.
OSHA regulations – MSDS sheets and procedures.
Fire and safety procedures.
Food handling regulations, ServeSafe certification is preferred.
Must be a team player and have the ability to establish working relationships both internally and externally.
Experience with local community groups preferred.

OAPSA required FBI Fingerprints, National Sex Offender Registry, PA State Criminal History, PA Child Abuse and Physical assessment are required prior to hire and required every five years. Physical assessments will be required every two years.
A valid PA Driver’s License with acceptable driving history is required.
