The Marketing and Public Relations Manager is essential to our team and is responsible for shaping our message and building strong community connections. You'll develop inspiring marketing and communication plans that resonate with the public and stakeholders while empowering team leaders with valuable insights. This role is a combination of remote work and private office environment. Occasional travel is required up to three hours.
Some Essential Functions of Position:
- Managing the provision of marketing and public relations services
- Serve on teams to sustain the tools and methods used to develop and refine marketing plans
- Co-lead the development of marketing plans with the Executive Directors and other senior leads developing marketing plans
- Establish liaisons in programs with marketing goals to assess achievements and suggest improvements
- Provide tools to support staff who are developing or managing events
- Support major events by serving on planning teams and taking a significant role in the execution of the event
- Develop or arrange for the development of press releases or other media outreach
- Develop partnerships/vendors that will aid in both the work of the programs and the Philanthropy and Communications team
- Serve on the editorial board to plan magazines, video, newsletters or other public-facing material
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications required
- At least three (3) years of experience in non-profit role which included media relations, development of marketing or communications materials, or planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent conflict assessment and mediation
- Leader – Leader skills include a Strategic Mindset, Drives Vision and Purpose, Demonstrates Self-Awareness and Manages Conflict
