JOB SUMMARY:The Philadelphia Phillies are seeking a full-time Social Media Representative to join our dynamic social media team. This role involves day-to-day publishing and establishing the Phillies as a leading organization in the digital and social landscape. The ideal candidate is outgoing, creative, and passionate about storytelling. The right mix of collaboration, quick thinking and strong communication will be paramount in this role which requires swift and strategic decision-making. Efficiency, teamwork and a knack for creative ideation are key to success in this position. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to Phillies, Citizens Bank Park, Phillie Phanatic and Phillies Player Development social media accounts.
- Assist with the creation and scheduling of content across all platforms including: Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Medium, Threads and others.
- Assist with developing, owning and managing the voice of the Phillies and ancillary accounts across all social platforms, monitoring sites on an on-going basis and engaging in real-time customer service.
- Manage and execute content calendar for all social channels, initiatives and events.
- Engage with the community across social channels to strengthen the organization's connection with our fans.
- Field requests from other departments for social media coverage needs.
- Ensure Phillies brand voice on social media remains fresh, cohesive, topical and recognized both locally and throughout MLB and sports.
- Develop regular, detailed reports on social performance and analytics, and utilize analytics to assess strategies.
- Remain abreast of emerging social media platforms and industry trends to continue and support innovation and marketing of the Phillies brand.
- Support the advertising sales team in the planning and coordination of sponsored partner initiatives and activation.
- Assist with strategy development across various content areas including in-game coverage, team news, mascot and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with various content creators (designers, video editors, etc.) on content development and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS/PROFICIENCIES:
- 1+ years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, journalism, advertising or equivalent related work or educational experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and decision-making skills required.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to collaborate across departments to see projects to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to identify high-quality content pieces.
- Minimum intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) strongly preferred
- Experience working with various digital reporting tools, with proficiency in Sprinklr or Emplifi preferred.
- Demonstrated deep understanding and knowledge of social media platforms required.
- Familiarity with Mirrorless/DSLR cameras required.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
