Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits seeks an Associate Manager, Off Premise Channel Marketing, Josh. This position will ensure that sales have everything they need to successfully execute the Brand plans within the channel. This position provides connectivity between Consumer Marketing and Sales by supporting the development of Off Premise Marketing tactics on various platforms ensuring brand equity. Responsible for overall support and tool development in line with the brand plan strategies.  Supporting development and design of communications, programs and coordination of channel tools and resources.  As an Associate Manager, Off Premise Marketing, you will be assigned a brand/group of brands you support.

This position will report to Manager, Off Premise Chanel Marketing and is a remote opportunity. Responsibilities are outlined below. These responsibilities are representative of the key areas of focus but are not limited to the items listed below.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports delivery of overall growth, profitability, and multi-year strategy of the brand(s) assigned through development of the end-to-end tools by collaborating with Consumer Marketing and Sales.
  • Support brief writing development and reinforce creative feedback.
  • Serves as central point of contact between sales and marketing to align plans and tools for all off premise activities.   
  • Responsible for leveraging insights to support development of national BTL programs for the brands supported. Programs will be aligned with brand strategies and channel needs while delivering strong shopper engagement and high ROI. This includes program, concept, elements, digital commerce, tools of the trade.
  • Creates custom programs requested by sales on the brands supported per the established guidelines from Program Optimization.
  • Leads development and delivery of POS (including coupons), digital assets, legal approvals, DASH uploads, tools of the trade, portfolio initiatives, and trade standards for assigned brands.   
  • Invest time across the off-premises channel to understand a broad view of the market.
  • Partners with sales teams to understand competitive programming and activity.
  • Works with finance to understand and apply learnings from post program analysis including ROI.
  • Positions DFWS to be a D1 supplier by supporting the development of unique marketing initiatives that enhance brand strategy and Customer profitability target.

 

Qualifications:

  • Undergrad degree required; 5+ years of commercial sales/marketing experience in spirits/wine supplier industry or other CPG companies.
  • Stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and develop strong partnerships across the business.
  • Thorough knowledge of distribution, promotion and selling techniques, combined with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Strong understanding and experience of marketing levers to drive growth in off premise channel and sub-channels.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with partners across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong strategic thinking, creative problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop strategic presentations
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and the creative development and execution process
  • Highly organized with a preference for operational processes and systems and a painstaking attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with large groups of distributed stakeholders and project team members simultaneously; in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity with thoughtful problem-solving.
  • Ability to combine curiosity and persistence to unravel seemingly complex problems and get to the root problem or challenge.
