Content and Communications Strategist

Role Overview
The Content and Communications Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s voice and brand across digital and print platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and working closely with the Director of Business Development, you will lead content initiatives that amplify our marketing and business development strategies while ensuring a consistent brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write, edit, and manage content for digital and print, including website updates, attorney bios, articles, and other communications.
- Media Relations: Build relationships with key media outlets, secure placements in industry publications, and distribute press releases.
- Editorial Standards: Develop and ensure editorial guidelines for tone, style, and brand alignment, adhering to legal ethics in marketing.
- Content Optimization: Collaborate with the BDM team to refine ads, email campaigns, and presentations. Optimize content for SEO and repurpose materials for maximum reach.
- Social Media & Analytics: Manage the firm’s social media presence and track content performance to refine strategies.
- Strategic Initiatives: Research and pitch article placements, speaking opportunities, and award nominations.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience, ideally in professional services or a law firm environment.
- Advanced writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing tools is preferred.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar tools.
- Public/media relations or multimedia experience.
Work Hours & Environment
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (1-hour lunch break).
Flexibility: Hybrid remote or fully remote options available.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required but is not a core component of this role.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000-$80,000. Your compensation will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications.
Opportunity for additional compensation: Profit sharing, Discretionary bonus
