Role and Responsibilities

The Marketing Coordinator’s objective is to support lead generation and promote engagement to help drive membership sales, member retention and ancillary revenue for multiple health clubs. The Marketing Coordinator will execute social and digital advertising campaigns, email marketing, track sales data, manage marketing plan and budget; maintain and grow community relationships; manage membership and other marketing databases; and prepare monthly reports. The Marketing Coordinator will help with the organization and execution of monthly community events and maintain and quarterly events calendar.  The Marketing Coordinator will identify local events and opportunities for outreach in the community.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with Active’s Global Marketing Team, Director of Sales and Site Management Team on initiatives to generate revenue growth
  • Support strategic marketing plans, promotional and events calendars, and collateral
  • Execute marketing tactics including media buying, copywriting, partnership marketing, event planning and community outreach
  • Provide marketing support across digital marketing platforms, including website, video, mobile, email and social media to drive sales and improve the online consumer experience
  • Organize and execute various events including grand openings, community events, corporate events, etc.
  • Assist Global Marketing Team with various projects and marketing campaign planning
  • Maintain communication channels between club teams, client liaison and Global Marketing Team
  • Manage the creative process on a variety of projects      
  • Manage and track budgets; reconcile invoices; process billing
  • Attend regular meetings with all department heads to collaborate and formulate programs and service options
  • Develop program marketing collateral per brand standards
  • Draft and distribute Member monthly e-newsletter to membership base
  • Respond to member feedback and support on member conflict resolution
  • Manage various social media accounts and brand reputation and reviews through Yelp and Google
  • Order and maintain inventory of Marketing Promotional materials and pro-shop inventory
  • Coordinate and staff local outreach events to promote the Club’s services and membership sales
  • Prepare monthly marketing report collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data

Other Functions:

  • Uphold Active Wellness written policies and procedures
  • Attend Active Wellness management meetings, trainings, and retreats
  • Meet Active Wellness’ standards for professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times
  • Work together as a TEAM with all departments

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing required
  • One to three years marketing experience required; agency experience preferred
  • Proven ability to write compelling copy; excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Must be a self-starter with a successful history of implementing marketing strategies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Superior organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly
  • Organized, flexible and patient; maintain a positive attitude and work well as a part of a team
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple competing projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervision
  • Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania
